These Terms & Conditions govern the services provided by Lumina Holistic Arts, a registered trade name (DBA) of Lumina Energy Work LLC ("Lumina," "we," "our," or "us").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking, purchasing, or participating in any service or session offered by Lumina, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not book or participate in our services.
2. Nature of Services
Lumina provides energy-based and reflective wellness services — including Reiki, intuitive tarot and oracle readings, and energy work — designed to support relaxation, clarity, and self-awareness. These services are complementary in nature and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional care.
We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prescribe for any physical or mental health condition. You should not disregard, delay, or discontinue any professional medical or mental-health advice or treatment based on anything experienced or discussed during a Lumina session. Please consult a licensed healthcare provider regarding any medical or psychological concern.
3. Professional Credentials and Scope
Our practitioner may hold professional healthcare credentials, including licensure as a registered nurse (RN). However, all Lumina services are provided solely in a complementary wellness capacity and not in the practitioner's capacity as a registered nurse or any other licensed healthcare provider.
Participating in a Lumina service does not create a nurse–client, provider–patient, or therapeutic clinical relationship. No session constitutes nursing care, medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical treatment, and no such relationship should be inferred from the practitioner's credentials.
4. Informed Consent
By engaging in any Lumina session or service, you consent to receive energy-based and/or reflective spiritual wellness support. You understand that experiences and results vary by individual and that no specific outcomes can be guaranteed. Your participation is entirely voluntary.
5. Eligibility (Minors)
Lumina services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. Individuals under 18 may participate only with the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian, and where required, with a parent or guardian present. By booking on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are that minor's parent or legal guardian and consent to the service.
6. Booking, Payment, and Refunds
Payment Terms: Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Refund Policy: All payments are non-refundable. In lieu of a refund, sessions may be rescheduled in accordance with the rescheduling policy below.
Rescheduling Policy: Clients may reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled appointment. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be considered completed and are non-refundable and billed in full.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information during intake or booking.
Take personal responsibility for their own physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing before, during, and after sessions.
Seek appropriate licensed professional care when needed.
8. Virtual Sessions
Certain services (including virtual meditation, reading, and group experiences) are delivered online. You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and private space. Clients may not record, screenshot, stream, or reproduce any portion of a session without our prior written consent. We will not record sessions without informing you in advance.
9. Confidentiality and Data Collection
Your privacy is important to us. Lumina collects personal information — such as name, email, and intake details — solely for scheduling, communication, and session preparation. This information is maintained as confidential business records and is not medical or clinical records.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., booking or payment processors) or as required by law. Please note that Lumina is not a HIPAA-covered entity, and its confidentiality practices are governed by these Terms and our Privacy Policy rather than HIPAA. 10. Intellectual Property
All written materials, guided meditations, recordings, graphics, tools, and other resources created by Lumina are the intellectual property of Lumina and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. They may not be copied, recorded, shared, resold, or distributed without our prior written consent.
11. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
You acknowledge that participation in any Lumina service is voluntary and that you assume full responsibility for your experience and outcomes, including for any in-person session.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumina and its practitioners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damages arising from your participation in our services. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Updates to Terms
Lumina reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
By booking or receiving services through Lumina, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms & Conditions.
